What clients and partners say.
“Timber framing has always seemed to draw folks passionate about the craft and profession. But even in such a remarkable group, Kayle and his crew stand out.”

“You were such a pleasure to work with. Truly, it’s so difficult to find such responsive, professional, and thorough partners, and you blew us away! We are customers for life!”

Types of work
What we build.
Residential
Custom homes, additions, and retreats where the frame is the centerpiece of the main rooms. We work alongside the owners, their architect, and their general contractor from the first sketches through raising day.
Commercial & hospitality
Event barns and pavilions, wineries, lodges, and public spaces designed for high occupancy. These jobs usually come with tighter schedules and more trades to coordinate, so we start planning for both from the first conversation.
Agricultural
Barns, equestrian facilities, and working buildings. A working barn carries loads a house never sees (at the Kacin Barn, a dump-bed F-350 full of grapes driving across the loft), so the engineering gets as much attention as the joinery.
Open-air structures
Pavilions, observation towers, car shelters, and other covered outdoor structures. With no walls to protect the frame, every joint is exposed to the weather and easy to see. We account for that when choosing the species, finish, joinery, and hardware.
